Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 25

Chapter 25

It sounded like a drunkard lost their balance and slammed Into the wall.

Mikayla found this strange. Only Amy and Jerome were home right now. Who would be drinking?

“Click.”

Suddenly, her door was pushed open.

Jerome walked in.

His gait was a little wobbly, and his handsome face was unusually flushed. He was sweating, and his eyes seemed rather red.

Mikayla sensed danger. She shut her laptop and tried to ask him to leave.

“Were you drinking?”

As she spoke, she quietly opened her door. “Amy–mmh!”

Before she could finish calling out, she felt a sting in her lips. Jerome had just kissed her!

“You

Surprised, Mikayla tried to shove him off, but Jerome kissed her with more force instead.

His body felt hot to the touch, and he was holding onto her so tightly that she could barely move. He pressed her against the door and sucked the air from her lungs.

Mikayla waved her fists in an attempt to hit him, but he pressed her hands to the doorframe!

There was an innate gap in strength between men and women. Right now, Mikayla couldn’t move or speak. When it felt like she was about to run out of oxygen, she could only let out muffled moans.

Hearing those sounds, not only did Jerome not stop, he bit down on her lip hard as

though he’d been possessed.

When Jerome heard Mikayla cry out in pain, he released her lip. However, he still didn’t give her time to catch her breath before lifting her and biting her neck.

“Madam-

Amy came running up the stairs when she heard Mikayla’s cry.

Amy was stunned when she found Jerome holding Mikayla intimately with his head buried in her neck.

“Amy, help-

Jerome clapped his hand over Mikayla’s mouth. “Go away!” he ordered hoarsely. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

Even though Amy was worried about Mikayla, she didn’t dare to stay.

After all, this should be kept between the couple. As the housekeeper, she shouldn’t stay.

She hurried off.

“Let me go!”

While Jerome was distracted, Mikayla pushed him off and yanked her pajamas over her body.

Jerome pressed his face to hers again. He began to rub her broken lip with his finger.

His hoarse voice was filled with temptation as he said, “Mikayla, did you make Grandma put something in the soup?”

Wanda’s soup had been dosed with something?

No wonder Jerome’s body was so hot even though he didn’t smell of alcohol.

Fortunately, she didn’t have honey. Otherwise, both of them would have been consumed by lust.

How would they get divorced after that?

His finger slid from her lip to her chin as he pondered this.

Mikayla swatted his troublemaking hand away and said calmly: “I’ll call the doctor for

you.”

She reached for her phone, but Jerome pulled her into his arms again.

“Why would you call the doctor? Mikayla, you always complain that I don’t spend enough time with you. You even used Grandma’s soup to drug me. Weren’t you waiting for this moment? If that’s the case, I’ll fulfill-”

Before Jerome could finish his sentence, Mikayla slapped him across the face.

“Get out!”

Half of Jerome’s face turned red. His eyes became cold and gloomy.

“Mikayla, you’re wrong!” He grabbed her chin.

It hurt so bad that Mikayla couldn’t move, nor did she dare to.

Since young, Jerome was primed to be the heir to the family. Because of that, he had a domineering personality. He was also used to everyone yielding to him.

This might be the very first time someone had slapped him. Yet, Mikayla didn’t regret it.

Previously, she was always careful. She bottled up every grievance inside of her. Now, she wasn’t going to let him get his way!

Seeing how indifferent and fearless Mikayla looked after hitting him, Jerome felt irritation and sadness roil inside of him

He even had the urge to throw caution to the wind and expose her lie!

Right now, Mikayla’s broken lip was bleeding. Her brows were furrowed in pain.

However, she had no intention of backing down. Her icy gaze was filled with fight and defensiveness.

Gritting his teeth, Jerome forcefully pushed Mikayla away. He then staggered out of the room with a sullen expression.

Mikayla rushed over and locked the door. Then, she crumpled to the floor.

That had been too risky.

If Jerome had tried to force himself on her, and considering her strength, she would not have been able to fight back.

It wasn’t that she wanted to be a woman of chastity. But why should two people not fated to be together have any unnecessary intimacy?

Over the next few days, Mikayla was busy with her investment plan.

Jerome had stormed out the door and had not been home since.

Naturally, Mikayla was more than happy.

After she finally managed to sort out the fixed, intangible, and long–term assets for the project, she stretched her arms over her head.

She was exhausted and wanted to relax.

Thus, she unlocked her phone and opened Instagram.

However, she then saw that Kylie had just posted an update five minutes ago.
