Chapter 359 Have You Forgotten Anything

Chapter 359 Have You Forgotten Anything

"Let's go! Let's go for eating!" Jean exclaimed with great excitement.

Moore shook his head helplessly on seeing Jean's intense response.

As they just reached the aisle, Jean's mobile phone started to ring.

Quickly, she fumbled with her purse and took her mobile phone out. After taking a glance at her phone,

she found it was a phone call from Zed. Immediately, the smile on her face became more vibrant.

Without wasting any second, she pressed the answer key. While walking behind Moore towards the

gate of the hospital, she answered,"Zed..."

"When will you come back? Do I need to go to the hospital to pick you up?" Zed asked, sounding

concerned about her.

"Aren't you outside with grandpa? You don't need to come here to pick me up. You have been busy and

tired all day long. I will catch a taxi as soon as I finish eating," Jean replied while walking.

"Jean..." Zed paused for a moment and sighed before he added,"Have you forgotten anything?" Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.

"What?" Jean asked, in bewilderment.

"It seems that you have really forgotten that. What did you say to grandpa before you left?" Zed

reminded.

"I..." Jean tried hard to recall what she had said. A while later, her face changed and had a quizzical

expression. She patted hard on her own forehead and said,"Oh, my god. I have really forgotten it.

Then, what shall I do?"

'Grandpa, Grandpa Dan, Zed will be with you. You guys have fun in H City this afternoon. I'll come back

as early as possible and I'll cook dinner for you.'

These words repeated inside her head after she wracked her brain.

Now she was confused because she had already invited Moore to eat outside with her.

'What should I do?

What should I do?' Jean thought.

To be sure, she couldn't break the promise she kept to Zed's grandfather. On the other hand, this was

the first time that Jean had treated Moore to dinner. 'How can I suddenly change my mind and tell him

that I can't have a meal with him?'

Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts.

"Don't eat outside. It is still not late for you to prepare the supper if you come back right away!" Zed

continued since he was still on the other side of the phone. His words brought her back from her

reverie.

"But..." In fear of being heard by Moore, Jean walked away to another side and continued in a lower

voice,"I have just invited Moore to eat outside."

"You..." Zed suddenly became speechless after knowing what Jean had gotten herself into.

"Zed, what should I do now?" At that moment, Jean was really anxious and out of her sense. She had

no choice but to ask Zed for help.

"Don't ask me. It all depends on you." Zed sighed again on the other end of the line.

"Zed, you also know that," Jean replied pathetically. "Moore has stayed in the hospital for a long time.

But I have never treated him to a meal. Can I... Can I..."

Jean wanted to ask Zed for a favor, but she felt so hard to speak it out.

Discerning Jean's embarrassment in her voice, Zed could do nothing, so he sighed helplessly. "Okay! I

will have supper with them outside. In that case, you won't be embarrassed. But don't make such a

mistake again,"

warned Zed, sounding extremely serious. "Thank you so much," Jean replied happily as soon as she

heard that Zed was willing to help her.

"Then, are you still angry about what happened at noon?" Zed seized this opportunity to ask her about

it. "Will you show hatred towards me again?"

"No, no," Jean replied in a hurry.

"Okay. That's it. I will eat out with them. Come back early tonight." Zed felt relieved now that he

wouldn't have to deal with her anger.

"Hmm, bye." Jean happily hung up the phone, walked over to Moore with her face wreathed in smiles

and said,"Let's go!"

Moore stared at Jean looking confused. Although she had lowered her voice as low as possible, Moore

had heard almost everything she had said.

Seeing that Jean was in high spirits, he couldn't help asking her scrupulously,"Can we really leave

now?"

Jean discerned Moore's bewilderment from his tone. Thus, she unknowingly looked up at him and

affirmed again,"Sure, let me take you to eat something delicious."

Seeing her face glow with happiness, Moore didn't want to say anything more. Together, both of them

walked towards the gate.

'Jean has promised to dine with Zed's grandfather. But at last, she has decided to eat out with me. It

seems that I mean a lot to her.

Jean, why do you treat me so well?'

Deep down in his heart, Moore was elated. Before he walked closer to Jean, Moore tried hard to calm

himself down. The fact that he was so important to her brought some delight in his heart.

Moreover, he smiled and tried to take this seriously since Jean attached such great importance to this

meal.

When they just arrived at the gate, Jean paused and started to stare far away with a weird sort of

expression.

Moore was a little confused about the sudden change of her expression. Thus, he followed her gaze.

That was when he noticed it was Joy and Shirley. Both of them were talking to two strange middle-aged

men. And now the men got into a car. Joy and Shirley still stood where they were after the car drove

away and disappeared out of their sight. They were just looking ahead, beaming with a brilliant smile

on their faces.

At the sight of this scene, Jean suddenly understood something.

Without any hesitation, she directly walked towards them and stopped when she was beside them.

"Who were you seeing off? It seems that they are your distinguished guests, or else you both wouldn't

see them off personally," Jean intentionally said with an ironic smile on her face.

Hearing her voice, Joy and Shirley looked startled and nearly jumped. Immediately, they turned back

and stared at Jean with a grumpy face.

"What have you come here for?" Joy fiercely inquired.

"Of course, I came to see if you both are doing fine," Jean replied, sarcastically. "Last night, Shirley left

without saying goodbye. I was so worried that something might have happened to her, so I am to see if

she is doing well."

"Don't pull the wool over our eyes. Jean, I'm warning you. I am not scared of you even if you have gone

back to Zed," Shirley said furiously.

With her eyes rolling, Joy suddenly burst into laughter when she saw Moore standing beside Jean.

Then, she said,"You have just reconciled with Zed. But now, you are here hanging out and entangling

with another man. Aren't you afraid that Zed will abandon you again?"

"Oh. I have never known that you care so much about me. You may be disappointed this time because

it is Zed that asked me to come to the hospital to see Moore and invite him to supper," Jean retorted

loudly, but the great smile was still on her face.

"Jean, don't try to fool us now. If Zed asked you to come here, why didn't he keep you company?"

Shirley said with a noticeable hint of jealousy.

"As you know, Zed is very busy. I can handle matters like this by myself." Her heart was filled with great

joy when Jean saw their faces turn pallid. Then, she added,"Well. Since you don't believe me, I don't

feel obliged to make you trust me. Moore, let's go to eat."

As soon as she finished her words, Jean walked past them and hailed a cab.

Seeing that Jean and Moore had slid into the car, Shirley furiously and fiercely stared at the direction

where they had left.

"Mom, I can't stand it anymore. I wouldn't have stopped you from killing her if I had known that she was

such a bitch. Now, I hate to swallow our anger in front of her. Her piercing words make me sick!"

Shirley said grudgingly.

"My silly girl, don't complain about this now. If you want to take revenge, there will be many chances in

the future. Be patient, darling." Joy's eyes gleamed with malice when she uttered those words. She

patted on Shirley's shoulder to comfort her.

"Mom, I want to teach her a lesson right now."
