AN UNEXPECTED GROOM

Chapter 1 47: Pushed people

Leila choked. She didn’t expect Roxane to easily admit it without any burden.

Roxane didn’t think she was perfect, and she didn’t think it was shameful to not love someone enough. Besides, Diego didn’t really like her. Why would she continue to love someone who didn’t love her?

– Roxane, you…, Leila said before stopping suddenly after seeing a silhouette walking out of the corner of her eyes. Her eyes flashed and she suddenly moved forward to grab Roxane’s wrist.

Before she could react, Leila fell, claiming that Roxane had pushed her.

She fell into the fountain, splashing water everywhere.

Roxane unconsciously took two steps back to stop the water from splashing on her and ended up crashing into something. She looked up and saw Diego’s dark and angry expression.

Leila, who was soaked, shivered. She hugged herself and looked on the verge of tears, saying:

“Miss Alvarez, I just want to persuade you to give Diego another chance. It’s okay if you don’t want to, but is it necessary for you to push me?

Diego looked at Leila darkly without saying anything.

-…

“Is this the famous melodramatic scene that I always read in novels? Based on the novels, the next plot should be Diego scolding me for pushing Leila!”

Not only was she not worried, but she even looked at Diego with a hint of anticipation.

“Hurry up and scold me!”

Contrary to Roxane’s expectations, not only did Diego not scold her, but he even asked with concern:

– Roxane, are you okay?

– ???

Leila’s face was damp and her mascara had started to run. She looked at Diego in disbelief as she shouted:

-Diego…

He didn’t even glance at Leila. Instead, he said, worried:

– Roxane, it’s cold today. Hurry inside. Your friends are still waiting for you.

She blinked. She felt he had become a different person. She didn’t want to delve into the reason and only said:

– Oh.

She turned around and left. However, after walking a few steps, she stopped and turned around to ask:

– Leila, did you say that I pushed you?

Leila’s eyes were fixed on Diego while she stood in the mountain, and she did not seem to have heard Roxane’s words.

While she was looking at Diego, Roxane walked over and reached out to push Leila’s shoulder.

Caught off guard, she fell again, splashing water everywhere.

This time Roxane clapped her hands and said:

– All right. Now you can say I pushed you.

Diego was stunned. When he came to, a slight smile appeared on his face.

– Roxane, you have gone too far!

She looked at Roxane with eyes filled with anger and resentment.

Roxane shrugged her shoulders and said innocently:

-You said I pushed you so I pushed you. What’s wrong? After that, she turned around to ask Diego:

– Are you going to scold me in his name?

Diego’s eyes swept over Leila briefly in the fountain before shaking his head and saying softly:

-I’m not going to scold you. Why should I scold you?

He wondered why he hadn’t discovered how cute and simple Roxane was in the past.

– GOOD. I will leave then, said Roxane. She turned and left, waving without looking back.

Diego’s eyes were filled with lust and unwillingness to part as he looked at Roxane’s back.

Seeing this, Leila felt her heart freeze. She sobbed saying:

“Diego, are you just going to watch while she harasses me?

Hearing this, he looked at her.

The strange look in Diego’s eyes made Leila shiver as she asked:

– Diego, why are you looking at me like that?

When Roxane walked past a room, someone suddenly reached out and pulled her into the room at lightning speed.

It was dark in the room.

She was about to scream when a familiar voice rang in her ears.

– It’s me…

She immediately relaxed and dropped her hand.

“You scared me to death.

Roxane smelled a faint woody scent in the darkness as his low, raspy voice rang in her ears again.

“You’ve been gone so long.

– I met Leila and Diego, Roxane answered honestly. She had no intention of hiding this from Sebastian.

Sebastian chuckled.

“I can’t believe you pushed her to the end.

– She accused me of pushing her when I didn’t do it. How can I take the blame for nothing?

Besides, if Diego had scolded her, at least it was worth it.

In the darkness, she felt Sebastian’s warm fingers gently caressing her face, and her heart began to race.

– Roxane, why are you so cute?
