EPISODE 13
THEME: The secret of the past
CRESCENT PACK
(Alpha King Sky’s Point Of View)
Gamma Albert led I and some of my men straight to the late alpha’s home. When we stepped in, my gaze flickered to the pictures of late alpha Zion and his wife hanging on the walls. I stared closely at Luna Lillian’s picture and soon realized that Mia was just the chip of an old block.
“Alpha King?” Gamma Albert called and I looked up at him. “If you would come with me to the alpha’s study.” He said.
I shook my head in agreement and we started to walk up the stairs but Gamma Albert stopped my men. “I would like only the alpha king to come with me.” He said.
“And why is that?” Kelvin demanded with a raised eyebrow.
“Only the alpha is needed to see whatever is in the study.” Gamma Albert answered.
“I have to be with the alpha to -” I raised up my hand up to silence Kelvin.
“You might help us secure the territory with my warriors.” Gamma Albert coaxed.
I mind linked kelvin to obey Gamma Albert. “I can handle him.”
“Are we to trust anyone at this moment?” Kelvin asked through the link.
“I don’t trust anyone but I just need to find my mate. He might know something since he was the closest to the late alpha Zion.” I replied.
“What if he is working for the enemy?” Kelvin asked.
“Then I will have to find out the identity of the enemy and then kill them… all of them.” I responded.
“Alright… be careful my alpha king.” We exchanged glances and then Kelvin bowed before leaving me with Gamma Albert.
“Alpha King, please come with me.” Albert said.
I nodded in agreement and Gamma Albert led the way to the study. And when we stepped into the large sized study Gamma Albert went straight to the late alpha Zion’s desk. Gamma Albert cleared his throat before speaking up.
“Few years ago, a royal blood from Donia kingdom came to alpha Zion.” Gamma Albert started as he picked up a file from the desk. “The royal blood asked for the alpha’s help to dethrone your father.” He picked up a diary from the mahogany desk.
The study was a large sized room filled with books on mini shelves and an all round couches. Somehow I could still sense the scent which had my wolf jumping around in excitement mixed with a bit of sadness. I assumed that Mia must have spent most of her time in the office after her father’s death because her alluring scent was still thick in the air.
“Who is this royal blood?” I asked the Gamma.
“I am in no position to tell you.” Gamma Albert responded.
Is this a joke? He asked me to come to the pack to find that truth and now he doesn’t want to tell me about it. . “Albert.. I need to know.” I gritted my teeth trying to control my fury.
Gamma Albert looked at me. “Aren’t you interested in knowing the whole story?” He asked.
I cautioned my wolf to calm down. I folded my arms and then sighed after a minute. “I am listening.”
“When Mia was just seven, she was abducted because the alpha refused to help the royal blood dethrone your father. Alpha Zion couldn’t watch his daughter die in the hands of the royal blood so he had to accept the royal blood offer.” Gamma Albert paused to probably study my expression because he was looking straight into my eyes.
“I never knew all of these happened.” I mumbled.
“I didn’t know all these things too until the day the late alpha was about to leave the pack. Alpha Zion knew that he was going to die in the hands of the royal blood and then.. he was poisoned. And when the alpha was on his death bed, he gave me the honor of reading his diary.” Gamma Albert explained the whole truth.
He told me how the alpha was fed with a type of poison he had created and how he made the antidote before leaving the pack. The royal blood fed Alpha Zion with the poison by putting it in his food. And then the poison affected his whole body and he couldn’t walk. The truth is complicated but I choose to know the royal blood. All these things happened and I didn’t know all this time that there was a traitor in my kingdom!
“He was poisoned and on his death bed my alpha asked me just one thing which was to protect his daughter… but I failed him. I feel so bad for failing him.” Gamma Albert said in a sad tone. “He was too strong, too powerful that he was able to break down the magical boundary built round our territory.” He added quickly.
Whoever this traitor should get ready to face my wrath. I am never going to spare him even if it turns out to be my blood relative! “Who built the boundary?” I asked.
“Back to the abduction story.. Mia was released five weeks after she was abducted and so the alpha got a witch to build the magical boundary. And when the alpha also took ill, he begged Mia to strengthen the boundary. But I assume that the alpha already knew the royal blood would come… he just wanted to protect his pack members.” I narrated.
If the royal blood had broken down the magical boundary then how on earth did he managed to capture my powerful mate?! My face hardened. “How did he manage to capture Mia so easily? She is an alpha and she also has powers as a witch… so what really happened?” I asked.
“The first thing he did was disarming her by using her weakness against her.” Gamma Albert replied.
“What weakness?” I asked with snapped eyebrows. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Snakes… Mia never liked snakes as a little girl because when she was just five, trying to train she went hunting in her wolf form but got bitten by a deadly snake which nearly took her life. So snakes became her weakness. She feels tormented anytime she comes in contact with one.” Gamma Albert explained.
“So he tormented her with a snake?” I asked in fear. I don’t even want to think back on the images that are starting to form in my mind’s eye.
“Yes.. yes.. his snake bit her when she wanted to fight him right after he succeeded in killing our beta. I don’t know how he made a snake appear out of nowhere! The snake attacked her and she became so weak that she couldn’t defend herself and I couldn’t save her either.!” Gamma Albert rubbed his temple hard and I watched him try to suppress his anger.
“Sometime ago, alpha Zion stated it that he doesn’t want to be part of the plan, so in turn the royal blood kept sending spies to Donia kingdom just to paint alpha Zion as the enemy. My alpha has given up on wanting the throne even after the war.” He walked around the desk.
“So the note Kelvin gave me earlier it had something to do with what you just said..” I asked and Albert nodded positively.
“He stated that the alpha would pay for letting him down.” He replied.
All of a sudden I started feeling uncomfortable and then I grabbed his neck like I was being strangled and out of breathe.
“Alpha king Sky!” Gamma Albert rushed towards me.
“I think… she is… in pain..” I managed to say. “But I.. can’t… really..” My voice trailed off.
“I am pretty sure that she would try to stop you from feeling her pains.” Gamma Albert said as he helped me so t on the biggest couch.
“How do you know?” I asked after a moment of silence.
“She is my alpha.” Gamma Albert answered.
“How come you can tell what is happening to her?” I caressed my neck softly.
“I know her very well…” Gamma Albert folded his arms. “Alpha Zion left Mia in my wife’s care while he tended to pack issues. So she is like a daughter to me.” He answered.
“If you know about her whereabout then tell me so I can -”
The Gamma cut me off sharply. “I think I do.”
“Then tell me.. I need to save her.” I said in a rush as I stood up from the couch quickly.
“Why do you want to save her?” Gamma Albert asked out of the blues.
“She is my mate!” I responded with a grit. Is there another reason why I should save her aside that she is my mate!
“Pardon me alpha king, you want to save my alpha just because she is your mate? But you haven’t accepted her as your mate.” Gamma Albert let out a snort and walked back to the mahogany desk. “I feel you want to save Mia not because she is your mate but you don’t want to hurt your wolf and to stop any form of pain.” He stated clearly.
“That’s not -”
“You just want to save my alpha because if she dies then your wolf will get weak and the alpha king must not be weak so he can be able to rule Donia Kingdom.” Gamma Albert stated clearly as he tapped his fingers on the table.
In a swift movement I moved to the huge mahogany desk. “I don’t have time for talks! And I don’t really care about the reasons why I want to save, Mia!” I grimaced.
Gamma Albert clenched his fists and bared his teeth at me and it pissed my wolf.. “You are only concerned about yourself and not Mia!”
The gamma is provoking my wolf that I am trying so hard to calm down. My wolf doesn’t like to be disrespected! And in a swift movement, I had Gamma Albert trapped in the chair he sat on and my hand gripped his neck.
“I don’t care about what you think of me. Why I want to save her is none of your business! Whether it is for my wolf or for her… it is my business to deal with!” I seethe my teeth in pure anger.
“Mia.. deserves.. to be loved.. by her mate.” The Gamma managed to say with his hand trying to free his neck from my tight hold.
In the same action, I dragged the Gamma out of chair. “Tell me where to find her or else I will have you convicted for conspiring with the enemy!” My eyes flowed crimson.
Gamma Albert struggled to free himself but I was far more stronger than him. “I don’t care what you think just tell me where to find her!” I growled in anger.
Truth be told, I have no intention of killing the Gamma of crescent pack. I just want to know more truth from him to find his mate.
