Chapter 508 Conspiracy (1) Something's About to Come
Though Oscar had social occasions to attend, Hannah still left the office on time at 5:30 PM.
All projects went on smoothly these days. Thus, there was nothing else for her to worry about but one
more thing-the acquisition of the Sawyer Group.
Ever since she came back to life, she had been keeping her target of revenge in mind.
This time, she swore to God the Sawyers had to be destroyed!
On her way back home inside the car Jimmy was driving, she suddenly noticed that a few miles away
from the Cooper Group, Mary got into a luxurious limousine.
As far as she knew about the wealth Mary owned at this time, there was no way that she could afford
such a limousine. More importantly, it didn't look like she owned it because she was taking the
passenger seat with a rather restrained look.
Then Hannah watched the limousine getting further and further away.
Out of a kind of instinct, she felt like it must be something unusual happening.
So she made a call, "Hey, Theodore."
"Hannah? Why don't you call Oscar? He has been back if I am not mistaken." Theodore complained.
"He's too busy to be bothered."
"But I am busy as well." Theodore sounded a bit annoyed.
"Are you?"
Theodore answered after a short pause, "Actually not…"
Hannah smiled and continued, "Hey, keep an eye on a limousine for me. The plate number is
ACV6688. Check out who the owner is."
"What's the matter?"
"Just do it. I am not sure about my speculation."
"I will call you back after I figure it out."
"Thank you."
"Don't mention it. I am not willing to do the favour."
Hannah smiled.
After that, Theodore dialed Oscar's number, "Your wife told me to investigate something about a
limousine. Shall I do it?"
"Do it."
"Okay. By the way, I have everything prepared for your social occasions tonight." As always, Theodore
followed whatever Oscar required.
"Okay."
"Are you sure there's a conspiracy against you?"
"I guess so," Oscar replied casually.
Guess? It was rare to see Oscar making uncertain speculation.
But Theodore didn't intend to ask further.
Whatever, he just needed to do as told.
…
Inside the black limousine, Mary was sitting still in the back seat, next to whom there was Martina.
Meanwhile, Martina was speaking on her phone. Her voice sounded both serious and impatient, "Don't
worry. I am sure I have avoided Hannah's sight. I told Mary to walk a few miles away from the building
before she got in."
"Okay. Just be aware. Hannah has been alert. Even a mere bit of clue would lead her to the crux."
Charles warned.
"Okay, okay, just continue with your work. I will take care of the arrangement for Mary."
Charles didn't hang up until he made a few more serious suggestions.
However, Martina appeared rather impatient.
She had no idea what Charles was afraid of.
From her perspective, Martina believed that, at least, she could be a match for Hannah however
capable that woman appeared.
Then she turned to look at Mary, who seemed a bit nervous.
"Now I am gonna dress you up. You look a bit alike Hannah. After dressing up and proper makeup, I
am sure you will look much alike her. After Oscar got drunk, we will have him drugged. Then he will be
brought to the hotel and I bet you know what's gonna happen next." Said Martina.
Mary nodded.
However, as soon as she thought about what was going to happen tonight, she couldn't help feeling
nervous.
Never had she expected that the Sawyers would come to her.
Before that, Martina had posed her question rather frankly on the phone when talking to her-Did she
want to get Oscar or not?
After some hesitation, Mary admitted.
Then it led to what happened at this moment.
Martina could tell from Mary's face that she must be a scheming type as well.
She knew how much Mary desired to take the place of Hannah. After Roger Cooper had fallen, Mary
was the only one surviving. Though Mary was in a poor situation, she still reserved great ambition. As
long as she was paid a bit of benefit, Martina could earn her full trust.
Moreover, there was a significant reason for both of them to work together-they both hated Hannah so
much that they wished they could deprive her of the position.
Of course, there was no reason for Mary to turn down such a tempting opportunity.
Martina would love to see how Hannah would behave after Mary slept with Oscar.
This time, she swore she would knock Hannah down and smash her.
…
Lying on the bed, Hannah had been waiting for Oscar while browsing on her phone.
It was about midnight.
But Oscar still hadn't arrived home.
She looked a bit annoyed.
He had promised to return as early as he could.
Was he going to break his words?
But still, she held back the urge to dial his number.
She knew it would be indecent to call him while in the midst of social occasions, so she kept waiting.
At about 1 AM, she got a call from Theodore.
"Hannah, come downstairs to pick him up. He's drunk."
Speechless, Hannah put down her phone and hurried downstairs.
Hearing the noise, she sped up her pace. Then she saw Theodore dragging Oscar in.
He was intoxicated, which was rare for her to see.
"Oscar, what's wrong with you?" Hannah was a bit mad because of his disregard for his health.
Oscar raised his head to look at her, smiling.
However drunk he was, he never forgot to play tough in front of her.
"Come on, let me do it." Hannah carried Oscar over from Theodore.
But he was too heavy. Hannah felt like she almost got pinned down on the ground as soon as she felt
his weight.
She struggled to hold him steady. Then she said thanks to Theodore.
After that, she supported Oscar upstairs step by step.
"Take care of him." Said Theodore.
Hannah smiled. So did Theodore.
Of course, what he meant by 'take care' indicated something more intimate.
Then Theodore turned around to leave.
As expected, Oscar never prepared for anything uncertain.
If it weren't for his arrangement, Oscar would have ended up sleeping with Mary tonight.
Theodore hurried into his car while making a call, "Where is Mary?" This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
"Mr Wold, Mary has gone missing."
"I told you to keep an eye on her!" Theodore huffed.
"We did! But we don't know how she ran away. Now we are looking for her!"
"Hurry! Bring her to me as soon as you find her!"
"Yes, sir."
Theodore put down the phone.
As far as he knew about Charles, he wouldn't be that capable enough to get Mary out of the guard of
his men.
It was more complicated than he expected.
Perhaps there was someone more powerful behind.
Gritting his teeth, Theodore could tell what he worried about was coming.
