Chapter 501 I Am Yours
After the doctor left, both Hannah and Oscar let out a breath of relief.
Sitting on the couch, they looked at each other and then smiles appeared on both of their faces.
Perhaps it was a smile after a false alarm.
Whatever, the sweetness and happiness between them appeared conspicuous within the smiles.
"I wasn't being too nice to Karen." Said Oscar.
"What?" Surprised by the way he changed the subject, Hannah paused for a second.
She thought he would have bragged about his physical health first. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
"Weren't you just being jealous because I was being too nice to her?" Oscar repeated.
"Well, but she's your sister. It's common to see you being nice to her." Said Hannah.
"But it's because of you."
Hannah frowned, confused.
How come she had anything to do with that?
"Aren't you happy about what she did today?" Oscar smiled.
Stunned, not until then did she realize that he showed his preference for Karen in front of Mary to
mislead Mary into the understanding that she could team up with Karen, from which Hannah could
benefit after Karen tricked her. It was all within his plan.
It turned out that he was the most scheming one, which Hannah found horrific.
Perhaps he would get himself noticed as soon as Hannah had even a bit of an idea to turn her back on
him.
"Don't be worried!" though Oscar couldn't tell what was exactly on her mind, he noticed from her facial
expression that she must be worried.
Though amused, Hannah soon appeared serious, "So you mean you can tell that Mary has a crush on
you?"
"I am sensitive enough to detect that," Oscar replied casually.
"Sensitive?"
"When it comes to affection, every lady around me would end up finding themselves attracted by me
except..." while speaking, he looked at Hannah.
Oscar's stare crept her out because Hannah felt that he was indicating someone.
"Whatever. I have been a temptation for ladies."
He must be complacent about it, Hannah could tell.
"But honey, don't worry. From head to toe, from my skin to my heart, I am yours." Oscar held her hands
and grabbed them tightly.
A little blushed, Hannah got speechless by his cheesy talk.
Every time he talked sweet words, her temperature went sky-high.
But she pretended to be composed and said, "I want some sleep."
"Okay. But I gotta go out to handle some matters."
"Where are you going? City Hall?" asked Hannah.
"No, I got something to talk about with Theodore. But he can't leave home right now. So I gotta go
there."
"Okay."
She could tell Oscar and Theodore were like brothers worth dying for each other. And undoubtedly,
there were also secrets between them.
"When I finish…" Oscar suddenly uttered seriously.
"What?" Hannah stared at him with her beautiful eyes, which Oscar found so tempting.
His voice turned husky, "Let's go for an overseas travel."
Hannah couldn't help laughing.
It turned out that he did take the doctor's suggestion into serious consideration.
Hannah didn't refuse.
When they got married, both of them deemed it a fake marriage based on mutual interest only. So they
didn't spend any time on honeymoon travel. So his promise this time also made up for that pity.
She nodded, "Okay, I will be waiting for you."
"Great." Oscar said.
Hannah stood up to walk upstairs while Oscar was leaving.
As she walked past Karen's room, she stopped to knock on the door after some consideration.
Then the door was opened.
Karen's smiling face soon froze as soon as she noticed it was Hannah's knocking.
Her voice revealed clear unfriendliness, "Oh, it's you."
"Do you think Oscar would come to knock at your door?"
"What are you showing off?"
"I just wanna tell you it's a kind of sickness to show affection for your brother."
"Do you know I have been taking drugs since I was a kid?"
Hannah got speechless.
"And I know I have been sick. That's why I take drugs." Karen somehow grinned complacently.
"No wonder the drugs never work. You're beyond cure." Hannah refuted after she chilled.
Karen replied with a glare.
Hannah didn't continue this time.
Whatever, she had made her point rather clear-they stayed out of each other's way.
…
Then Oscar and Hannah spent their weekends with the joy of sex.
Though Hannah barely expected weekends to come before, now she developed some anticipation for
weekends because of Oscar's arrival.
He was leaving for River Town next Wednesday.
Though he would stay there for only half a month this time, Hannah still found herself reluctant to see
him leave.
On the morning of Monday, both of them left to work.
Sitting in the office alone, Hannah looked absent-minded.
Seeing that, Rose couldn't help giggling.
No wonder there was a saying that 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder.'
"Any schedule for today?" asked Hannah.
"Of course, Ms Hannah, the sales data about the international e-commerce platform will be reported
today. As you required, the group responsible for this project will be called over for the data analysis,
during which the plan for better campaigns will be presented. The data collection will be finished at 10
AM today."
"Okay." Hannah nodded.
"A decision-making session of the corporate will be held at 3 PM, which will last for an hour and a half.
At 5:30 PM, another meeting among the executives will be held to summarize the future planning."
Rose reported.
After that, she asked Hannah, "Milk, right?"
"Yes, thank you."
Then Rose left.
Hannah stretched to refresh herself.
Then she turned on the laptop to start dealing with the files.
But then her phone rang.
It was a call from Manuel.
"I heard something about Oscar's physical report. It didn't sound good."
Hannah got speechless. She didn't expect him to be so gossipy.
"I was afraid my call would interrupt your joyful weekend. So I make this call on Monday. Are you
working right now? Is Oscar with you?" asked Manuel.
Of course, she knew the reason why he called on Monday-Manuel never dared to risk offending Oscar.
Was Oscar so intimidating?
At least, she felt that he had been friendly to both Manuel and Theodore.
"He's fine. Just a false alarm." Hannah explained.
"Yeah, I can tell. I know he won't be bothered by…sterility…Theodore must be exaggerating."
As expected, it was Theodore.
"I was just asking. Alright, I gotta hang up."
"Okay."
After that, Manuel smiled.
Before that, Manuel was so concerned that he even wondered if he should tell his mom about it.
And now he knew that Theodore's words were never worth full trust.
Then Manuel got back to his work.
Someone suddenly knocked on the door.
"Come in." Manuel thought it must be his assistant.
However, as soon as he raised his head, he saw Susan standing at the door.
A bit of impatience flashed within his eyes, which Susan captured.
