Chapter 3527
Alexis sifted through the stack of photos. The shots were intimate, starring Leonel and Anika. Snaps of them vacationing in different cities, playing golf, and even locking lips in the apartment foyer.
Alexis’ fingertips quivered slightly.
She gazed at the passionate embrace captured in the photo. Their expressions were so intense, it seemed they'd merge into one any second.
Her lips twitched. Eventually, she looked away, managing a smile. Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
“These are no fakes. They're straight from the security footage. Anika probably mailed them to you, dad.” she said.
With a stone-cold expression, Waylen dialed Leonel’s digits. “Get back here, now.” Waylen couldn't wrap his head around Leonel keeping a mistress. He really thought Leonel knew better than that.
Alexis set the photos down gently after a long look. She settled in, ordering more soup from the servant and sipping it slowly. Waylen and Rena found her eerie calm unsettling.
Once she finished, Alexis announced casually, “I have to step out for a bit” In an unsettling serenity, Alexis was the eye of their emotional storm, Rena, visibly concerned, comforted her, “Your father and I will handle
everything” Alexis, composed, responded, “No, I should deal with this myself. I don't want to cause you any more grief.” Rena gave a reluctant nod and turned her attention to Waylen, who was seething with anger.
As Alexis departed from the estate in her own car, a black Land Rover rolled in. With their windows down, the drivers had a clear view of one another.
“Alexis!” Leones call cut through the air.
Yet, as they drove past each other, Alexis fixed her gaze ahead, her grip on the wheel betraying her tension.
Leonel fought an impulse to follow her, to bridge the distance between ‘them no matter the cost.
Waylen, from inside the villa, bellowed, “Step inside this instant!” Upon entry into the lavish mansion, flanked by her guards, Alexis found Anika lounging with a face mask. Anika, removing the mask and rising, declared, “Ms. Fowler, you're trespassing.” A document drifted to the floor.
Alexis retorted with a hint of amusement, “This place remains under Leonel’s firm's umbrella. Surprised? He omitted that detail? Let me make it clear then. As marital assets, half of this place is lawfully mine.
Your approval isn't a prerequisite for my presence here, and I could very well demand that you leave my property immediately.” Fury had Anika shaking from head to toe. “Leonel won't stand for this.” she asserted, her voice quivering.
Alexis, gliding in on her heels, stood in stark contrast to Anika's disheveled state. She whispered provocatively, “Miss Cohen, your grasp on men seems lacking. If Leone's heart truly belongs to you, would I even be a threat?” Her voice took on a softer edge. “It wasn't my plan to involve you, but you brought my father into this —his heart isn't strong.
Consider your own parents and your own family, Miss Cohen. With that, you've crossed the Line.” “What's your price?” Anika managed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Alexis paused, a pensive shadow crossing her face. Finally, she offered,
“You're set on scorching the earth, aren't you? Let's see how the ashes settle”
