A Night with Gideon

Chapter 33

He closed his eyes and quickly covered his eyes with his hand when the cameras flashed to meet him

when he got off the limousine that he rode to the venue where the airlines’ anniversary party was held.

The reporters threw questions at him one after the other and he almost choked on the stand.

Fortunately, he was the first to get out of the limousine, Summer was still inside who he knew was

watching him from inside the limousine. "There is a lot of news that is spreading that you are the

woman in the blind item that the CEO of Vesarius Airlines married. Is that true?"

He covered his eyes more with his arm to cover his vision as well as his face. The camera also flashed

more as he blocked his body in the door of the limousine. They might see Summer and hurt her baby.

Some big men came and grabbed the

reporters. They blocked the press. "Ma’am. Just one question,"

they were still teasing so he hid even more behind the two big men who came. They are wearing a

black poloshirt, and look like bar bouncers in body size.

He felt someone grab his hand before wrapping it around his waist. He looked up at Gideon with dark

eyes looking at him. "Let’s go?"

his voice was deep and hoarse. Gideon opened the door of the limousine as he stepped aside a little. It

took Summer who immediately looked at him.

"Hide your face in daddy’s neck, Baby,"

Gideon whispered to Summer who immediately followed after giving him another look. Gideon secured

his hold around their daughter and using his other free hand, he held her waist and pulled her closer to

him. He was almost hugging her when they started walking. The bodyguards block the reporter’s

camera. They were literally surrounded by those who were like celebrities that until they entered the

building, it still captured their attention.

They were still escorted by his men when they walked towards the room where the event was held.

Summer had a big smile when they entered the large event hall of the Almeradez hotel. He slightly

bowed his head as almost everyone present focused on them.

Not like his son who smiled more and got to wave at them. It lowered the father and just held on to their

hands.

They went straight to the center table where Gideon’s parents were sitting. He was happy when he saw

Caius looking handsome in his navy blue suit

long sleeve. Her mom also had her hair done elegantly and was also well dressed. It’s like he saw his

mom again when their family was relatively wealthy and his dad was still alive. He hugged her and

kissed her on the cheek. He was just happy because he didn’t know they were going. "Mamila,"

Summer called her mother while she was on Carlos Vesarius’ lap.

His mom just waved before looking back at him. "I’m sorry, Son. I didn’t know this party was going to be

this big. The church loves things, I’m afraid to touch them, I might break them."

"Mom, you’re beautiful,"

he said while looking at her. He stopped talking and stared at her. "I just remembered Papa."

He touched her both cheeks and smiled at her. "We look alike, Son. And then I agreed to get it fixed

because I really miss wearing this. Also, I can’t refuse your husband."

"Gideon invited you?"

"No. Balae,"

he grinned, referring to Mommy Gerona. It looks like he and his Mommy Gerona are close. "Gideon

forced me when I said no. I forgot to tell you that your husband asked me for some documents for the

passport. They said you’re going to take Caius and me to another country."

"Do you agree?"

"At first, Caius doesn’t have school and will leave the store. He said that he will get Caius a private

teacher or that he will talk to the principal of the high school so that your brother can take online

classes. Looks rushed. Do you have a problem, Son?"

She bit her lower lip and took a glance at her husband who is now talking with Carollete and Caius. "I

don’t want to leave him, Mom."

"Have you told him yet?"

He shook his head. "You’d better tell him, Son. And then why?"

"I do not know."

His mom didn’t answer and stared at him for a few seconds. Then he was carefully pulled and hugged.

She had a look on her face as if she realized something and had no intention of telling him what it was.

He sat next to Gideon after greeting Gideon’s parents as well as Carollete.

"That’s my dad,"

Summer clapped loudly when Gideon’s name was called on the elevated platform ahead to give a

message. He just thanked those who attended, almost all of whom were employees of Vesarius

Airlines.

He looked around and smiled when he saw Quincy Mae waving at him. It includes some of their fellow

airline interns at the table. It was not attended to she married because her daddy sent her home. He

reminded himself how he was since he hadn’t been able to contact her for the past few days. Quincy

Mae just looks really happy but she knows better. She’s broken. "…and to my wife, Lyzza. Thank you

for taking care of our daughter when I can’t."

He quickly looked ahead when he heard his name. He met Gideon’s gaze that even though it was

covered by the light of the stage lights, he knew he was looking at him.

Some of the women who were present started crying loudly. Quincy Mae’s voice prevailed and

Carollete slapped her before giggling. "Kuya’s cheesy. I don’t know."

He didn’t pay attention to it, instead he just focused on his wife who kept her mouth shut and just

looked at him. His eyes have so many emotions. His eyes that he didn’t know why he felt wanted to tell

him so much. It didn’t add to what was said about him but it just mentioned about the charity which is

one of the objectives tonight.

He sat uneasily as he began to walk back towards them. He picked up Summer and cradled the child

as she sat down next to him. Their son blinked as he looked at Gideon and shifted his gaze to him. He

was not satisfied and reached out his hand before placing it on her cheek. "Why, Baby?"

he asked. He turned to his father and cupped his face with his little hand.

Gideon was just looking at them silently. "Daddy, you love Mommy, don’t you?"

He lost his smile and stiffened in his seat at that son’s question. He looked at Gideon. He was almost

deafened by the pounding of his chest while waiting for his answer, However, before he could even

open his mouth, a familiar woman interjected them. He smiled and without saying a word hugged Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

Gideon by the neck and kissed him on the cheek. He seemed shocked when he realized where he saw

the woman in front of him now. This is the woman with Gideon in the wedding picture that he found in

his wife’s drawer.
