Brian sat silently, listening to his team’s endless debate.

Regal Reavers, unknown to many, were backed by King himself. Joining the Regal Reavers was Max’s

because of Max’s handsome looks, his gentle nature, and his patience with Nina. It would be strange if

Nina didn’t like him.

After their brief exchange, Natalle said her goodbyes and hurriedly disappeared down the alley.

Brian stood at the door, silent, lingering his gaze on the disorderly pile of shoes Natalie had left at the

entrance.

The room was eerily quiet, devoid of any sound. He reached out, gently turned the doorknob, and

pushed open the door.

The moon tonight shone brightly. Its light spilled through the half–drawn curtains onto the bed.

Natalie and Nate’s faces were close together, both breathing evenly, deeply asleep.

Brian stared at Natalie’s peaceful sleeping face for a long moment before quietly exhaling a sigh of

relief.

He had come back to verify whether she was indeed Azure. If so, she would undoubtedly also be a
