Chapter 98

On the way back to the villa, Anastasia had been calling Alastor. NôvelDrama.Org © content.

Yet, Alastor did not pick up.

Anastasia felt that she was on the verge of an emotional breakdown. She could even feel herself gasping for air.

What if something really happened to Snowball…

What was she supposed to do?

“Could you please hurry up?” Anastasia choked.

The driver nodded and accelerated.

Just as the car parked around the residential area, Anastasia got off and ran toward the mansion.

Naomi was sitting on the sofa in the living room with a serious expression. It was obvious that she was waiting for Anastasia.

“I see that you still treat this as your home,” Naomi said in a deep voice with an orderly tone. “Don’t you have shame? You are still running around while pregnant.”

Anastasia suppressed her anger and took a deep breath. “Where is Snowball?”

“Anastasia!” Kimberly ran in and said anxiously. “I haven’t found Snowball yet, Annie.”

Anastasia lowered her eyes and looked at Naomi, who she had been taking care of for four years. “Where is Snowball?” Naomi felt dissatisfied upon hearing Anastasia raise her voice. “What attitude is this? Don’t think you’re important just because you’re pregnant with a child of the Lopez family. You better get a divorce right after you give birth to the baby.”

Anastasia walked over and shouted desperately, “Where is Snowball?”

Naomi had never experienced Anastasia being so disrespectful to her. “What’s with your attitude? Where are your manners? How could you be all hysterical?”

Anastasia felt pain in her and her breath hitched. She felt like she was about to go crazy.

eyes

“I’m mannerless? Sure, you’re the one with manners. Then tell me, where is Snowball?” Anastasia demanded. She was not in the mood to quarrel with Naomi. She only wanted to find Snowball.

“I threw it away,” Naomi said casually.

Anastasia almost lost her balance. She took a step back and was held by Kimberly.

“You are now pregnant with the Lopez family’s child, who will be my precious grandchild. You’re the beneficiary now. If it weren’t for the fact that this child is Alastor’s, you would’ve been kicked out. And you think I’d let you keep a cat?” Naomi asked sarcastically.

“Besides, you’re pregnant. Having pets around is not good for the child. I asked someone to throw it out. So stop trying to look for it,” Naomi continued in a deep voice.

Anastasia clenched her hands tightly and trembled. She felt that she was going crazy because of anger.

She felt that she could not hold it anymore.

“How could you? How could you throw away Snowball? Why you? Who are you to do that?” Anastasia demanded hysterically as she grabbed Naomi’s clothes, crying for her to return Snowball to her.

Snowball had been with her for four years in that house.

Compared to Alastor, Anastasia had deeper feelings for Snowball.

“Don’t get too overwhelmed, Anastasia! Calm down, Anastasia,” Kimberly cried as she hugged Anastasia.

Anastasia could no longer contain her emotions.

She truly had nothing left.

She did not have a mother; her father deserved to die; she had no family nor a home.

Snowball was all she had left.

She wanted to at least find a good family for Snowball before she died.

She had never thought that Naomi would do such a thing.

Naomi knew how important Snowball was to her.

“Give it back! Give me Snowball back!” Anastasia cried as she pulled onto Naomi’s collar.

Naomi was frightened by Anastasia’s crazy look. “What are you doing? Are you planning to use violence on me? I’m an elder.

Is this how you treat an elder?”

Right then, Alastor came back.

“Look at this crazy woman you married, Alastor! What kind of upbringing does she have? She’s planning to use violence on me!” Naomi shouted hysterically.

Anastasia was already experiencing an emotional breakdown. She just wanted Snowball back.

“Have you gone mad, Anastasia?” Alastor furrowed his brows, still unsure of the situation. He could only see a crazed look on Anastasia’s face. Thus, he quickly walked over and grabbed her wrist.

“Let go!” Anastasia could not hit Naomi, but she could hit Alastor. With that, she slapped him in the face madly.

“Anastasia!” Alastor was furious and pulled her away.

Anastasia was unsteady on her feet and fell to the ground. Her forehead scratched the ground, and blood started gushing

out.

“Alastor! How could you hit Anastasia?” Kimberly rushed over in a panic and hugged Anastasia. “Naomi threw Snowball out! Why don’t you ask what Naomi did? You know how important Snowball is to Anastasia!”

Alastor was stunned for a moment. He wanted to protect Anastasia when he saw her fall. Yet, he was slightly slower.

He did not want to harm Anastasia, but she looked crazed. All he wanted to do was to calm her down. He did not expect her to fall over.

“Snowball?” Alastor felt his heart tighten. “What do

you mean?”

“Give me Snowball back!” Anastasia cried, but she had already lost consciousness.

“Annie,” Kimberly said, looking at Anastasia in horror.

Anastasia was suffering from a nosebleed again. The blood was dark red, looking rather terrifying.

Anastasia lowered her head and could not see anything clearly. She wiped her nosebleed, and with a hoarse voice, she said agitatedly, “Give me Snowball back!”

Alastor frowned and looked at Naomi angrily. “Where’s Snowball?”

Naomi felt a little guilty. After all, she was afraid of Alastor.

Naomi averted her gaze and let out a snort. “You are forbidden from raising pets if you’re pregnant with a child of the Lopez family.”

“I’m asking you about Snowball!” Alastor clenched his fingers subconsciously. He knew better than anyone what Snowball meant to Anastasia.
