“I have a way to find whether Alpha Nathan is included in all this or not?” Calvin said, chopping the garlic.

“How?”

“I will explain to you that after dinner, but you need to corporate.”

“I will. I surely will.” Ethlyn nodded her head.

“I will see at that moment.”

Hours later, “You need my help in this way?” Ethlyn shrieked, looking at everything in front of her.

“I told you then, ‘I will see at that moment.'” Calvin grinned, enjoying her expression.

“I thought you would have some plan, but I didn’t know that you would ask me to drink shots of tequila.” Ethlyn hissed in anger. “This is one of the things that spoiled my life, and you’re asking me to drink these stupid shots. NEVER.” Saying this, she started leaving when she heard Calvin speaking.

“If you leave right now, then don’t you dare to tell others that it was a trap because, at that moment, I will remind you that you had one chance to find the truth, and what you did was walked away,” Calvin said. “I want to check your tolerance level so that we can find out whether it was really just shots or something else because of which you got intoxicated that soon,” he added.

“And what if I will get intoxicated for real and… something… something will happen between us again then? I don’t trust a man like you.” Ethlyn pointed out.

“If something between us, then Rose will be blessed with a younger sister or brother.” Calvin teased to irritate Ethlyn more.

“Everything is funny for you, isn’t it?” She asked, getting annoyed.

“No. It’s funny to see that I’m ready to fight with everyone for the mother of my pups, and she doesn’t take a second to blame the father of her pup as characterless.” Calvin taunted and pulled out a chocolate bar from his pocket.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

“I’m sorry,” Ethlyn mumbled, but Calvin ignored her sorry and started munching his chocolate bar. “Hey, that’s Rose’s chocolate.” She added when she recognized the wrapper of the chocolate.

“So, what? I’m her father. I can eat her chocolates.”

“Exactly. You’re her father, not her siblings.”

“My brother got these chocolates for her. And he is my sibling, so indirectly, I have the right to this chocolate.” Calvin argued with her. Ethlyn wanted to ask when did his brother come here but then brushed that topic because that was not the main topic going on here.

She looked at the shots of tequila. She had to take the risk to know the truth.

“Don’t waste your time overthinking. Drink it quickly when it is chilled.” Calvin said, reading her confused face. It was clear that she wanted to drink but was hesitating. All she needed was just a little push which Calvin did, and one by one, she drank all the shots without salt and lime.

A moment passed, and they both stared at each other, waiting for some reaction from Ethlyn’s end but except for making a weird face after drinking it.

“I’m not feeling dizzy to that state that I can’t even stand,” Ethlyn mumbled. “Do you think I drank tequila of another brand?” She asked.

“I don’t know. Maybe. Let’s try all the brands one by one every night.” Calvin suggested, but a part of him had already figured out that there was no chance that a werewolf could get dizzy to that extent which Ethlyn told him.

Was she drugged? Most probably, yes! Someone might have spiked her drink. But who? The more he used to think about everything, the more he wanted to kick Alpha Nathan.

“I can’t wait to try it every night. If possible, then can we go to some pub and try all kinds of tequila?” Ethlyn asked, becoming restless because she wanted to solve this mystery as soon as possible. “I know the pack is already going with the hunter issue, but if it is possible, then, please!! Please!!” She requested, more like begged desperately.

“You sure? You’re not drunk?”

“Not in the same way. That night I wasn’t even able to walk, but today I can dance.” She said and started dancing by jumping here and there like a monkey. Calvin’s eyes widened, seeing this type of weird dance and her weird steps.

‘Is she trying to copy ballet moves by jumping here and there?’ Calvin asked Keanu.

‘How would I know, human?’ Keanu asked in equal confusion.

“Okay, enough,” Calvin said, but Ethlyn kept jumping. “Enough.” He said, but Ethlyn was still jumping. He sighed and went near her to stop her. “Stop this disaster.” He said, holding her arms. It was when Ethlyn looked at him with her teary eyes.

“Thank you, Alpha Calvin. Thank you for helping me.” She said and wiped her tears. “Thank you for believing me.”

“Oh, hello!! Stop being so emotional, and stop this shower of tears. I’m doing nothing for you but for my daughter and me, and the only reason I want to find out all the truth is to kick you out of our life. So, don’t be so thankful.” Calvin said rudely because he hated to see her crying like this.

“The moment I start thinking like you’re an amazing person behind an irritating and shameless man, you prove to me how wrong I’m about you,” Ethlyn said, wiping her tears in anger. “And listen to me very carefully, I’m not going anywhere away from my daughter’s life, and you will realize that after discovering everything.”

“We will see.” Calvin grinned, seeing her in anger.
