The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

‘Why are you talking like some Romeo? Don’t tell me that you fell in love with her in love at first sight?’ Calvin questioned him.

‘Rubbish. My feeling for that characterless woman is the same as yours, but I also can’t ignore the fact that she is Rose’s mother.’

Calvin shut his wolf, which was diverting his mind toward Ethlyn; he wanted her to be safe and sound. After so many years, a female had made him this anxious, except Rose. His love was sleeping in front of his eyes, he could sleep peacefully holding her in his arms, yet his mind was consumed by the thought of her mother.

The area around the pack was too dangerous. He was even worried for her safety.

‘Damn, I have to let her enter the pack and offer food to her.’ He finally decided, feeling annoyed when he realized bitterly that he couldn’t sleep a second until he would be assured that she was safe and had had her dinner.

‘Let that she-wolf come inside the pack.’ He mind-linked the warrior at the pack entrance. ‘And arrange some food for her.’ he added.

‘Alpha’… a little pause. ‘That she-wolf left already.’

‘Oh, when?’

‘Just a moment before.’

‘All right, let me know if she comes back.’ Calvin said, closing the mind linking. ‘She really left?’ he wondered in concern instead of feeling happy. ‘Or she left in search of food?’

He knew he couldn’t sleep peacefully, not until he would find out where did Ethlyn go? Returned back to her pack or, worst, got trapped in hu…

He quickly shook his head and left the room in search of Ethlyn. Impatience and annoyance began pumping his veins when he realized that he was worrying for that woman.

Fuck!!

No matter how much he wanted to do nothing with Ethlyn. He knew that they were connected with Roselet. A string of cursed came out of his throat the more he walked toward the pack entrance at two at night instead of sleeping.

All of a sudden, he heard a loud cry of a wolf in pain.

‘Ethlyn’

Fear quickly engulfed him, freezing him for a while. His heart started pounding loudly against his heart as his brain tried to think of all the possibilities behind this howl. He started running, giving control to Keanu. He couldn’t let anything happen to Ethlyn.

‘I have to bring her safely, or I won’t be able to forgive myself.’

Ethlyn shifted into her human form immediately when she fell on the ground because of the enormous pain in her arms. She looked at her right arm. It was bleeding, and the fact that silver bullets coated with wolfsbane had been used to shoot her wasn’t in her favor.

‘Hunters,’ She hissed when she realized that she had fallen into a trap because of her hungry stomach. She didn’t move and stayed lying on the ground as dead so that her enemies could come in front of her. Due to the lack of Cinder, she just couldn’t sense them, and also, she was positive that they had used herbs to hide their scent.

“Why is she not moving? Did you shoot her heart instead of arms?”

“No. I don’t know why she is not moving. Or maybe she is just acting.” Saying this, the shooter shoots Ethlyn’s leg to see her response. While Ethlyn bit her tongue, not letting her cry escape from her mouth.

“You idiot, you killed her for real.” The first one scolded another one angrily and started walking toward Ethlyn carefully. The first one kicked Ethlyn’s body while the other one pointed his gun at her. In case she would be playing tricks with them. He would shoot her then and there to save their life.

He kicked her hard to turn her body. They observed that they didn’t shoot her in her heart.

“Maybe she fell unconscious.” He mumbled and crouched to check her vein, finding this as her chance. Ethlyn opened her eyes and threw a lot of soil on the hunter holding gun and then grabbed the head of the first hunter and twisted his head, killing him then and there.Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Before she would have dealt with the hunter holding gun, someone injected something in her neck from the back. That was when Ethlyn realized that there weren’t just two hunters.

A loud, angry howl ripped through the air, shaking all the trees around them with its power. Ethlyn was having a hard time opening her eyes, but she recognized that howl. She had heard it last night.

The hunter with a gun tried to shoot Calvin too, seeing him running toward them, but each time Calvin escaped from his shot because he could see all the bullets fired from the gun crystal clearly. The other hunter, who had injected Ethlyn, started running from there to save his life. Leaving his partner to die.

Calvin jumped on the hunter without wasting any time, his teeth grabbed onto the neck of the hunter, and with one hard pull, he ripped the head off his body.

Ethlyn was watching this all in a blurry image. She saw that red werewolf shifting into a human form.

Though his face wasn’t clear to her but she knew he was her pup’s daddy.

Alpha Calvin.

“Ethlyn… Ethlyn!!” Calvin quickly reached near her, but till then, she had lost her conscience. He gently picked her up in his arms, holding her close to his chest, and started running toward the pack. He really hoped nothing to happen to Ethlyn, or he would have to live all his life in guilty. Keanu agreed with this and blamed Calvin for Ethlyn’s state.

“Why are you bringing her inside the pack, Alpha?” Alisha, a female warrior, asked. “I have heard that she was rejected and kicked out of Wind Winder Pack for cheating on Alpha Nathan. Bringing such a characterless woman inside the pack is not good for the pack’s teenage and pups.”

Calvin was already mad at himself, and when a warrior on patrol started giving him a lecture at this moment, he started losing it.
