My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2316

Chapter 2316

"Got it." Cyril was still thinking about what I just said, so his answer was a little vague.

I got up and was about to leave but still felt a little worried. I took the map, put it in the pocket of his suit, patted it hard, and said, "Remember, this is very important. Don't mess it up. Otherwise, don't expect me to put in a good word for you in front of Freya in the future."

When it came to Freya, I managed to get a reaction out of Cyril. "Don't worry. I won't drag you down."

"Thank you then."

"Well, if there's nothing else, I'll head back first." Cyril stood up and said.

"Aren't you going to wait for Freya?" I thought they were going to meet and talk more.

"If she wanted to see me, she would have come out a long time ago." Cyril sighed and walked out.

I waited for a while before I walked out of the room.

As soon as I pressed the button for the elevator, Freya walked out of the elevator next to me. "Are you done?"

Nodding, I said, "If you came up earlier, you would have bumped into him."

Freya glanced at me and said, "Are you crazy? I only came up after seeing him leave."All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

I shrugged. No one could deny that Freya was a straightforward person. She even outrightly admitted that she was avoiding Cyril.

I knew that Freya was much better than me in observing people, so since we were there, I decided to drag her into a corner and share with her our progress thus far.

After hearing what I said, Freya was not surprised, but I didn't understand why she wasn't.

"What's so surprising about that? What can you expect from a man and a woman staying together and sticking close with each other for a few days? Apart from having

feelings for each other, why el. ne

would they stay in contact? Do you expect them to chitchat and leave?" Freya spoke in a mildly sarcastic tone.

Weel, what she said made sense. I pouted and huffed, "I just didn't expect it."

"Didn't expect what? That you were

that charming and attractive?" Freya's words broke the bubble which explained one fact. "This has nothing to do with how attractive you are, You're Hendrix's woman which is why Jordan is somehow attracted to you by some undeniable maic force. Combining everything you did, he became

jealous and more determined to win. Even if he put his guard up against you, he couldn't resist the temptation. The best weapon

against a man is basic, wild

excitement."

Listening to Freya, I knew why it sort of made sense for Jordan to fall for me.

It was frankly quite straightforward. Jordan was a remarkably conceited person. Everyone else, regardless of gender, was cheap and worthless to him. The only person he saw worthy as his opponent was Hendrix. Even if he had dragged Hendrix to hell, Jordan would still find ways to compete with Hendrix.

Since Hendrix was the only man that could challenge him, in Jordan's eyes, I was thus at a level almost equal to Hendrix.

Jordan was prideful, so if women were to try and gain his attention, he would only find that annoying. But because Hendrix loved me, Jordan thought

of me as his equal. No matter how out of line I was, he would be able to forgive and understand me, and that was what would consume him in the end.

Sometimes, everything must be aligned for things to work out well.

After figuring it out, I laughed at myself. "In such a desperate situation before, I was just about ready to search for all the women in the world to seduce Jordan. I didn't expect that the best weapon would be myself."

Freya patted me on the shoulder and earnestly said, "It's not a simple thing to play against a sly fox. You have to be on your toes at any time. But it was good that things turned out this way. It's better to rely on yourself than other people for important matters."
