Chapter 140

Everyone present understood Andrew’s intention when they

heard his statement. The previously heavy atmosphere dissipated.

Andrew asked, “How long has Elijah been at Horizon International Group?”

“It’s been three days.”

Andrew sneered.

It had been three days, and the entire Miller family still hadn’t received any news. Andrew wondered if Elijah intended to settle things once and for all this time.

If that were the case, Andrew would grant his wish.

As the meeting continued, Andrew’s phone suddenly vibrated. He picked it up and saw the photo of Easton gripping Madelyn’s wrist.

The atmosphere in the conference room, which had just relaxed, became suffocating again due to his cold aura.

“Take over for me!” he said coldly to Leonard as he stood up.

Shocked, Leonard quickly nodded.

Andrew strode out of the conference room, and Rowan followed closely behind.

As they exited the room, Rowan heard him say gloomily, Find out where she is immediately.”

“You mean Mrs. Miller? She’s at the hospital!”

Andrew recalled that Madelyn had gone to the hospital in the morning.

“Find out where Easton is.”

Rowan instantly understood why Andrew was leaving the company.

Many issues between Andrew and Madelyn had already been resolved, but he still couldn’t control his emotions whenever Easton was with Madelyn.

Rowan quickly found Easton’s whereabouts and looked at Andrew with some trepidation.

“He is also at the hospital.”

Andrew’s breathing grew heavy

The veins on the back of his hand throbbed as they became increasingly visible, and he left the company. His demeanor was chilling.

Rowan wanted to follow him, but as soon as Andrew got in the car, it sped away like an arrow from a bow.

Rowan took a deep breath before sighing to himself. He thought about how terrifying a man could be when he lacked security in a relationship.

At the hospital, Madelyn glanded at Easton, who was still holding her hand, with a gloomy expression.

“T’ll say it again–let go of me!”

Her tone was not only unfriendly, but it was also menacing.

Despite this, Easton didn’t let her go. Instead, he became

even more assertive. 

“Do you want to talk here then?”

As soon as he finished speaking, a thermos of scalding soup was dumped over his head, making him release her immediately.

Looking at the disheveled Easton, Madelyn spat, “Don’t fucking touch me. You disgust me!”

Easton didn’t know what to say.

His breath grew heavy as he stared at Madelyn. Seeing the disgust in her eyes was enough to make his heart sink.

looked at Madelyn with shock and disdain.

means being with an old man!”

“That’s right. The prettier they look, the less innocent they are!” 

Madelyn didn’t care about the gossip around her, but she couldn’t stand Easton insulting Andrew. She stepped

forward and slapped Easton hard across the face.

As the soup’s sticky texture touched her palm, her eyes filled with even more undisguised disgust.

Easton was stunned by her slap. He had also heard the people around talking about Madelyn. An idea popped into his head.

He knelt on the ground.

“Maddie, I was wrong. Please come back with me. I’ll take good care of you and support you from now on!”

Madelyn pondered if he was trying to use public opinion to manipulate her.

She became even angrier as she looked at the pathetic Easton kneeling on the ground. She wondered what kind of trash she had fallen for in her previous life.
